The YWCA of Hamilton has a number of areas available for Venue Hire. These are suitable for one off, regular or long hires. These spaces are available during week days and weekends. We have a selection of smaller meeting spaces, ranging through to our hall meaning that we can accommodate a range of activities.
One hour minimum hire and time booked includes set-up and take down. No alcohol is allowed to be served on the YWCA premises.

Chapel / Te Whare Wahine
Large carpeted room attached to the main hall that seats up to 30 people.
The decor of this room is enhanced with traditional Maori carvings. They are the work of the Whakahou group of Maori women who worked together in 1999 to create this special place. The chapel’s history dates back to its 30 June 1927 consecration by the first Anglican Bishop of Waikato. History of our Chapel and Historical Places Trust Registration
Chapel hire starts from $30 per hour.
The YWCA Hall is situated on the corner of Pembroke and Clarence Streets, Hamilton. It is used for a variety of YWCA and community activities and holds up to 180 people. The hall has a wooden floor and a stage furnished with velveteen curtains. Six trestle tables and 160 chairs are available. The hall’s kitchenette has a stove, fridge and zip water heater. Users supply their own crockery or cutlery. Bathroom facilities are attached. Parking is available for approximately 20 cars.
Hall hire starts from $35 per hour.

Hall hire fee $250
$200 cleaning bond – refunded when hall is checked and keys have been returned
There are two small rooms in the main “Bishopscourt” administration block, each seating between 20 – 30 people. Kitchen facilities and toilets available.
Meeting rooms start from $25 per hour.
