Our vision at the YWCA of Aotearoa New Zealand is of a fully inclusive world where justice, peace, health, human dignity, freedom and care for the environment are promoted and sustained through women’s leadership. We believe this goal is only attainable through proactive initiatives, which is why we make a commitment to young women’s leadership through training and support. 

Safe for Life
Offered through YWCA Auckland
A free three-hour workshop designed to educate young people on skills and strategies to keep out of harm’s way. It is a unique workshop aimed primarily at young people to ensure they do not get into compromised or risky situations, including those fuelled by excessive alcohol consumption.

Money Savvy
Offered through YWCA Auckland, Whangarei & Hamilton
A free programme aimed at improving the financial literacy of high school students by providing information about debt, savings, and superannuation in fast-paced, interactive workshops.

Future Leaders
Offered through YWCA Auckland
A four year, free mentoring programme which supports and empowers young women to become leaders and role models in their communities.

Y's Girls Workshops
Offered through YWCA Whangarei
Self esteem workshop where young women can look forward to making their own Dream boards, learning basic first aid, a team challenge at Laser Maze and many other fun activities.

Ignite Programme
Offered through YWCA Hamilton
An action packed programme that teaches life within New Zealand as well as the importance of recognising cultural differences/barriers in others.

Y-Dub Values, Motivate, and Inspire

Self-esteem, confidence building,  learning to be money savvy, and other essential skills.

Body Confidence Workshops

Extensively covers the obstacles relating to healthy body images within a safe and fun environment.

Emergency & Transitional Accommodation
