The YWCA of Wellington and Hutt Valley is a membership based organisation.
By making a donation you will automatically be registered as a member. This gives you the opportunity, if you wish, to vote on resolutions at our Annual General Meeting (AGMs) and have a real say in how we operate. Fill in and return our membership and donation form today.
Depending on your membership donation, you can be a member of the Wellington YWCA at many levels -
Personal Membership levels:
Advocate Supporter or Youth Supporter (aged under 18 yrs incl. mentees)
Value Proposition:
$25 - $99 ($10+ for students/beneficiaries and Youth Supporters).
Benefits:
• Added to mailing list to receive all YWCA communications
• Receipt of, and name included in, bi-annual membership newsletter
• Five years consecutive membership results in elevation to Impact Level (at Advocate Level
cost for one year)
• Option to choose where membership fee is applied
• Invitation to Wellington YWCA events.
Impact Supporter
Value Proposition:
$100 - $499
Benefits:
• Added to mailing list to receive all YWCA communications, including copy of the annual
report.
• Receipt of, and inclusion in, bi-annual membership newsletter
• Five years consecutive membership results in elevation to Legacy Supporter (at Impact
Supporter cost for one year)
• Acknowledgment in Annual Report
• Invitations to YWCA events.
Legacy Supporter
Value Proposition:
$500 - $999 (or evidence of a pledged bequest together with a donation)
Benefits:
• Added to mailing list to receive all YWCA communications, including copy of the annual
report
• Receipt of, and inclusion in, bi-annual membership newsletter (with option of member
profile)
• Five years consecutive membership results in elevation to Leadership Circle
• Special acknowledgement in Annual Report
• Invitations to YWCA events
• Legacy Supporter token of membership (includes certificate, membership pin).
Leadership Circle
Value Proposition:
Significant donation ($1000+ p/a)
Benefits:
• Added to mailing list to receive all YWCA communications, including copy of the annual
report
• Receipt of, and inclusion in, bi-annual membership newsletter
• Special acknowledgement in Annual Report
• Invitations to YWCA events
• An event to be held to formally acknowledge the donation, e.g. morning tea, wine and cheese
with Board
• Leadership Circle token of membership (includes certificate, membership pin)
Life Member
The Wellington YWCA also has the right to award Life Membership to individuals who have made
significant contributions to the association.
