YWCA young parents antenatal classes

For young parents 20 and under, this is a pleasing and supportive environment surrounded by other young couples expecting young infants.

To enrol, contact us now or you can be enrolled via your midwife for the next intake.

YWCA Encore
AFTER BREAST CANCER GENTLE EXERCISE PROGRAMME

A floor and pool based exercise programme for women after breast cancer.

Venue: Jane Winstone Retirement Village

Current intake started Monday 27 July.

Thank you to Jane Winstone Retirement Village for providing us with such a wonderful venue for our Wanganui women, free of charge!

Encore is funded by COGS (Community Organisations Grants Scheme) and SPARC, with a contribution from Tindall towards 2010 programme.

YWCA BODYMOVES

DANCE BASED Exercise programme for women

Have fun and keep fit - this is an exercise programme devised for the YWCA by a dancer, specifically for women, using light, bright music.

The Bodymoves ladies from Wanganui

Venue: Amdram Hall, Guyton Street, Wanganui

Time: Every Monday, 9.30 to 10.30am

Cost:  Only $4 per session!


Wear comfortable clothing and non-skid footwear.
Suitable for all levels of fitness for women 40 to 80+ attend.

BodyMoves is funded by SPARC.



YWCA GO GIRLS

holiday programme

Note:  Programme dates for 2009 will be on our website as they are finalised

Designed to build confidence and self esteem in safe and fun environment. this programme is for girls aged between 11 and 13. Programme intakes are kept to a minimum to reduce likelihood of bullying, and ensure girls enjoy their 'home away from home' in the holidays!

In keeping with our commitment to SPARC's investment objectives, each programme includes great sporting activities.

YWCA Pump/Combat classes

A new class for women aged 16 and over with all levels of fitness catered for in sessions.

No need to pre-enrol; just turn up!

Venue: Carlton School Hall, Carlton Avenue, Wanganui.

Time: Wednesdays, 5.30pm

Cost: Only $5 per session
