YWCA Wanganui is a small Local Association.
We currently have the following Board 
Members:
Donna Auker (President), Keitha Rod (Co-Vice President), Amy Benfell (Co-Vice President), Kyra Sixtus (Treasurer), Jenny Tutaki, Thelma Bell, Tracy Lynn, Karen McCormick and Stacey Regan.
Fiona (Fee) Ali started working as our Manager in May 2008 and is thoroughly enjoying her role with the organisation.
We are always seeking enthusiastic women of all ages with a willingness to participate in our Board and activites. We need enthusiastic women to help us continue to strive for health, justice, empowerment and leadership for ALL women in Wanganui.
Our Board meets monthly on Mondays at 5.15pm (see below dates for the rest of 2008). Because we believe in efficiency our meetings generally last no longer than an hour and a half.
The Board meeting dates for the rest of 2008 are:
- Monday 22 September
- Monday 20 October
- Monday 17 November (in December we tend to meet for a Christmas gathering rather than a formal Board meeting)
TEMPORARY Manager required to "babysit" the role while Fee Ali (Manager) is away on maternity leave
We are looking for a vibrant, dynamic person to "babysit" the Managers role for 20 hours per week from mid-October 2008 to mid-January 2009 while Fee Ali is on maternity leave. If you have great written and oral communication skills, a zest for life, and a real interest in empowering women please contact Fee Ali on 347 9979 or 021 046 0277. A knowledge of the community setting would also be an advantage, but isnot essential.
