Women's health, and in particular young women's health, is a focus of the YWCA. We have a commitment to speaking out on issues that affect women's health, such as the dangers of dieting and negative ideals of body image that are pushed on us through the media. In order to educate on this issue we have created a free resource called Like Your Body that openly discusses the issues surrounding body image and promotes a positive body image, and the empowerment of young women. It touches on healthy eating and exercising, and how to combat societal pressures to be skinny.

We also run programmes through our Local Associations that deal with different aspects of women's health whether it be our gentle exercise programme for breast cancer survivors ENCORE or one of the general fitness programmes offered around the country.
