Activities for Women and Girls
We are committed to empowering women and girls to make positive choices in order to affect social change. We offer free workshops and retreats to young women aged 15-30 years and run events celebrating women’s empowerment.
Our Focus
CONNECT: We collaborate with others to offer activities and services for all women to be all they can.
AMPLIFY VOICES: We amplify our voice and the voices of women in the Waikato.
CREATE SPACE: We create a space where women can come, be inspired and feel safe and secure to freely express who they are.

Local Herstory
The YWCA was separately incorporated from the YMCA in Hamilton on 16 May 1943. We have owned our property on the corner of Clarence and Pembroke Streets, Hamilton, since 1954.
